It is absolutely right that “Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”

When people talk about that women are weak, they need to stand on their feet, they must be uplifted; people are actually not paying attention to the basic things. First, I am very much against that someone else must tell you that ‘you must stand’. I mean, seriously! Why cannot women think that way itself? Why is the need for anyone else to tell it in the first place?

I am literally pissed off at how some women still think themselves to be weak and let others take care of them. I mean, come on, it’s 21st century. Why do you need someone to help you walk? You are not born crooked or crippled. No matter what the situation is you must fight and win. No need to learn to fight because women are born fighter.

The key is to believe in yourself that you can do and not that you cannot because you are a woman. Do not forget that this world without women is not going to work at all. So, kick that lost spirit, flush those shaky feelings and embrace happily that you are a WOMAN!

 1. Just Behave That You Are A Equal Part Of This World

Now what does it actually mean to be equal? Just shout on equality? No, you have got to believe that you are equal and take full responsibility of yourself instead of relying upon others. Be it in shopping or paying bills or contributing for household things. You are a member of this society then why should you think yourself unfit for equal share of everything? So go alone and test your limits. You can work for yourself. No one needs to buy you food, dress or pick you up. Make yourself prepare for the strength that you already have in store inside you.

2. Confidence Powers You

I have come across many women who are not doing what they actually want to just because they are suffering from low confidence. Do not ask anyone how to find confidence. You just have to find it from yourself. You are not a lost creature of this world. You are a power in itself. Shyness and fear is there only to screw your spirit. So do not let them get your way.

Sometimes we do not feel confident because we do not feel good from inside. We feel weak and mentally hopeless. This can be cured with recreational activities. Whatever you love involve yourself. Do yoga or meditation. You are bound to feel good and confident.

3. Say No When You Must

Say, your best friend wants to take you out for shopping. But you are actually looking for a nice time with yourself in the relaxed evening, sitting back with a cup of tea. So what should you do? Say yes to your friend just because she is your best friend? Absolutely not! You are your own queen. So do not do what others want you to do. Do what you want.

4. Your Dreams Are All You Have Got

Anything is possible if you dream. Your dreams are your first steps to become motivated. The moment you will lose your dream, you will feel crushed. It is your and only your duty alone to live that dream of yours.

5. Let Marriage Not Restrict You

Flaunt proudly that you are married and not like you are ‘dead’ because of marriage. And most importantly marriage must not be a restriction in your way.

I still face people who keep on ranting before my ears, ‘you are married and still you travel solo? Oh my god, your in-laws allow? How could you do this?’ You know what I reply? ‘Oh actually I knew myself to be married, not handicapped.’

You need to understand that marriage is not ‘The End’ of your life. You just need to be clear with your dreams and ideas with your husbands and let him know that you are not a fragile puppet. You have your own passion. Once when you talk with your family you will see they will become supportive of you. All you need to do is prove yourself to be independent and strong enough.

And wait, this proving is not just for getting any permission. It is just to show them that you are not unfit.

I believe that travelling works great to build our self-confidence. The more you explore; the more you will learn that how little your world is and how much to learn. One piece of advice is, do not lag behind because you are not fluent in English. Trust me, nothing matters other than your spirit. You do not need to be from English medium background; even I am from state board. I feel proud of it. I am perfectly capable in living my life and travel as much as I like. And for that I need faith in my abilities, not fluency in English.

Just remember “We are not burden to ourselves. We can. We will. We are women.” Empowerment of women will always be a theory if we do not think this way now.

Happy Women’s Day!!!
