What can be more exciting and captivating than getting to see a graceful tiger majestically moving inside a forest? I guess nothing. When I started my journey towards Ranthambore National Park, a strange feeling started creeping inside me. As I entered the forest region I felt deeply attracted by nature’s magnificence. Ranthambore National Park at Sawai Madhopur is a spectacular place in India that needs no mentioning- it is already widely popular among nature and wildlife lovers.

And as for me, I am always thrilled by the fact of watching wildlife. It was a short trip of two days that left me with awestruck.

Here’s why Ranthambore National Park left a deep impact on me.

Upon entering the forest I was overwhelmed by the incredible diversity of the green vegetation around. The rocky surface, the dried leaves, the chirping of the strange birds- all felt absolutely amazing. Who says you cannot have a great time inside a forest trail? I have never actually taken the taste of what adventure in true sense means. Here at Ranthambore, my concept of adventure had been changed by the presence of wildlife and not just any wildlife, but the graceful Indian Tiger.

No matter how much I talk about my guide who accompanied me inside the forest, is less. First of all, I must say that this place is impossible to explore without permission and experienced guides. As I hop inside the jeep, excitement fills in me. From the very first moment, I knew that this jungle safari would be my life-changing experience. The guide was a super knowledgeable person, professional and friendly who helped me to learn a lot about Ranthambore forest, nearby area and about the tigers. It was my complete sheer luck to have seen Arrowhead and Krishna- the two renowned tigers of the forest, Krishna, being the mother of Arrowhead.

A UNESCO Site Amidst Wildlife

From all the heritage sites I visited, Ranthambore is the only heritage site that has stunning ruins within the park- the fort surrounded by lakes that overlook the entire park. The Ranthambore fort is said to be the Hill Forts of Rajasthan and took my breath away as I kept watching the large and ruined fort emitting the vibe of a long lost era. The fort looks mystifying and the view from the top is speechless!
