How To Reach Madurai?

By Air: Madurai is connected to air by Kochi, Chennai, and Bangalore with daily flights. The airport is just 10 km away from the Madurai city. You can take the bus from there which is operational once every hour. Taxis are not operational in that area.

By Rail: As it is the major tourist attraction, Madurai is well connected by the rail from Bangalore, Chennai, Kollam, Coimbatore, Thanjavur. The best journey is from Kerala which takes you over the Eastern Ghats.

By Road: There are five bus terminals in Madurai. National highway NH-47 and NH-45 connect Madurai to other parts of the south India.
