Udaipur is like a fairy tale to me! Sunshine streaming to the ripples of mystic lakes, opulent hotel amidst the water, and a cultural glory, everything about Udaipur is so perfect! I saw it online being one of the most highlighted cities in Rajasthan tours, and it was a few weeks ago that I decided to tour to a serene destination on the earth, Hotels in Udaipur.
Hotels in Udaipur
While I was mesmerised by the green surroundings, exquisite beauty, and picturesque sights, the one major thing that impressed me a lot were the hotels and hospitality. Besides being a magical city, you can enjoy some of the best hotels in Udaipur that are add-on the stay. The great thing is that I was able to figure out a hotel for every budget
The Oberoi Udaivilas – Unsurpassed Architectural Beauty
Spectacular opulence, fabulous location, and stand-apart hospitality make it a perfect royal stay at the Oberoi Udaivilas. It is a 200-year-old property of Maharana of Mewar that is spanned across 50 acres area. The 20-acre area of the hotel is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary inhabited by deer and wild boars. In addition to delivering excellent amenities, the hotel offers special treats like a private dinner under the lakeside dome and experiencing the city via private boat tour. The cost per night is INR 45,000 onwards that I found a little expensive but suitable for luxury travel.
The Taj Lake Palace – Glistening White Beauty amidst the Lake
The glistening white beauty in the lake escape of the city and the reliability of Taj makes it a splendid place to stay. The royal history of this luxury hotel dates back to 1743 when its construction was instigated by Maharana Jagat Singh II. I spend one night in the hotel and must say the stay was commendable. You can explore the unmatched services and pristine heritage property by paying INR 39,500 and above for one night.
Shiv Niwas Palace – Exquisite Experience of Rajputana Hospitality
When I was searching for other premium hotels in Udaipur, I thought not to miss a chance of experiencing the world-class Rajputana hospitality catered in Shiv Niwas Palace. Primarily a guest house for the royals, it got constructed in the 20th century and stood apart with its crescent shape architecture and immaculately crafted miniature paintings, classic furniture, and Rajasthani murals and motifs. I enjoyed a lot the classic car collection and the Mewar light and sound show. You can book a stay at INR 16,000 per night.
Jagat Niwas Palace – Simple yet Exquisite
Now I did not have much money in hand and still wanted to enjoy the other finest accommodations. Jagat Niwas Palace, a spectacular mansion built in the 17th century and situated in the verdant valley is a premium stay option at INR 1850 per night. The colourful impeccable artwork on white walls and excellent hospitality made it a wonderful stay for me. White flowers, candlelight dinner, and traditional melodic music made it one of the best stays.
Hotel Lake Pichola, Mewar Haveli, and the Leela Palace are other hotels in Udaipur that I wanted to check-in, but time and money both were the constraints.
My experience was so good that I would plan another tour soon and would check out the left out stay options.
