HOW TO REACH SHIMLA ?

Shimla do not have an airport so you can take train or you have to first come to Jubbarhatti by air and then you can take a bus or train to Shimla.

New Delhi to Shimla

By Air: Jubbarhatti is the nearest airport to Shimla which is approximately 23 km away from the town. From there you can take a taxi or you can even ask Shimla hotel to arrange for an airport transfer.

By Train: Shimla has a small railways station which is approx 1 km away from the main town and it is also connected by Kalka by a narrow gauge rail track.  It will cost you around 500 Rs.

By Bus: There are several bus services which provide good connectivity to Shimla to the major cities. If you are going from Delhi, you can take an overnight bus from Kashmiri Gate. It will cost you around 700 Rs. (rates is depend on type of bus).

BEST TIME TO VISIT SHIMLA

September to February is the best time to visit Shimla and people who want to experience the snowfall then the best time is between December and February. It is the time to enjoy lot of snow activities in Shimla.
